To better support learners on English and Maths courses, we ask all learners to complete an assessment prior to formally enrolling. The assessment will help us understand your current working level of English or maths, which will allow your tutor to better support you. In some cases it will also allow us to match you to a course which may be a better fit, or to one with other learners working at similar levels to you. The assessment is not an exam, and there is no such thing as ‘pass/fail’.
The assessment is usually completed online, and you will be sent an email with links, login details and instructions once you have enquired. Once you have finished the assessment you will be contacted by someone from our team to go over the results and answer any questions you may have. If you are concerned that you may not be able to complete the assessment online please contact us on freephone 0800 988 0308, or email adult.learning@leics.gov.uk, to let us know. We will be able to arrange an alternative for you.
