Throughout June 2024 the GoLearn team are offering FREE adult learning tasters in venues across the county to celebrate our own ‘Have a Go Month’!
Have a Go tasters are FREE for anyone aged 19 and over and are taught by specialist tutors from across the GoLearn! programme. The tasters are an opportunity for you to try your hand at a new skill, explore our venues, and talk to the team about upcoming courses for 2024/25 academic year.
Online Security Basics is an introduction to keeping your personal data safe online, to identify nefarious requests and access to you, discuss threat vectors which might attempt to contact and extract data from you. How best to defend yourself, personal data and devices from likely attack vectors.
This session will need no prior knowledge other than understanding the basics of the internet usage, e.g. interacting on social network platforms (Facebook etc), ordering shopping online (Tesco’s, Amazon etc) or general internet usage (Google/Bing searches etc).
