Have a Go tasters are FREE for anyone aged 19 and over and are taught by specialist tutors from across the GoLearn! programme. The tasters are an opportunity for you to try your hand at a new skill, explore our venues, and talk to the team about upcoming courses for 2024/25 academic year.
This session covers a brief background to mindfulness, explores some of the different ways to practice mindfulness and introduces a few simple techniques for moments of mindfulness in everyday life. Mindfulness encourages us to focus our attention, become more aware, to take notice and re-connect. Mindfulness is increasingly recognised as a method for improving our general sense of physical and mental wellbeing and reducing stress and anxiety.
