How do I find a course?
To discover what lifelong learning opportunities are available in your area, browse online using the course search. This course search can be navigated using subject area, keywords, venues and districts. You will also be able to see detailed course information to give you an idea of course content and where / when courses are starting across the county.
If you would like more detail on what we offer across the service and why, you can use main menu to browse all courses.
How do I apply?
At GoLearn we use a 2-step application process for applying for courses.
Step 1 – Apply Online! Once you have chosen your course(s) using the course search (linked above) you can click to ‘apply online’ and complete the form with your details. Once you submit the application, our team will check your eligibility and that your details are correct.
We are unable to offer places to learners returning to study the same ‘learning aim’ on courses. Following initial review of your application we will do our best to provide an appropriate alternative course. Where this is not possible we will endeavour to signpost you to alternative providers.
Within 5 working days you should expect to receive an email confirming your place.
Step 2 – Accept your place! To accept your place you need to do is pay any fees associated with your learning. You will have 5 working days to complete payment or set-up any instalment plans. Some courses will require an assessment before your place is confirmed. This is to make sure we match you to the correct course at the correct level, and if this assessment is needed, your place will be reserved until it is complete.
If the course you are applying for has no fees, or if you are eligible to attend your chosen course for free, then you you won’t have to complete this step.
Once your application is complete, and any fees have been paid, you will be sent an enrolment pack including a link to our Learner Handbook which details all the information you will need to know during your time with us. You will also receive a Student Reference Number which we recommend keeping somewhere safe as you may need to refer to it when contacting us.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How do I check the status of my application? You will be kept informed of the progress of your application by email and text message.
Please ensure that your email address and mobile phone number are correct, and that you have selected the correct GDPR permissions, when completing the application form. This will reduce the chance of any missed communications.

How many applications can I submit? You can submit as many applications as you need, but please only apply for the course(s) that you want to do, and please do not apply for more than one of the same course per term.
If the course, you want becomes full we will attempt to offer you an alternative or add you to the waiting list.
Once I am accepted onto a course, how long do I have to pay? You will have 5 working days to complete the payment, either via the payment link we send out or via an alternative method. If you do not complete the payment within this timeframe, your place will be offered to the next person on the waiting list.
