What do you get out of an appointment with our Learning and Work Advisers?

Having an appointment with a Learning and Work Adviser supports you to make a plan, reach your goals in learning and work. Our information, Advice and Guidance service is quality assured under the Matrix standard. We can help you with:

Learning Support

  • We are able to support you with finding the correct course or learning opportunity, whether that is with ourselves to an alternative provider.

Employment Support

  • We can support with career development – including changing or gaining employment.
  • We can help with returning to work after a career break.
  • We can help you create or update  your CV.
  • We have access to Kudos AD – an adult career planning program that we can work through  with you to identify possible careers.
  • We can support you with job applications and interview techniques.
  • We can support you with finding an apprenticeship.
  • We can signpost to other agencies and organisations to help with job searching.

Volunteering

  • We can help you research local volunteering opportunities provided by various organisations.
  • We also have opportunities within Leicestershire County Council which we can support you with.

And more!

  • We have a number of courses that can support your wellbeing and we will discuss the opportunities available.
  • We are able to signpost to alternative organisations that can can support we are unable to ourselves.
