Safer Internet Day 2026 is taking place on Tuesday 10th of February 2026, with celebrations and learning based around the theme ‘Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI’.
This Safer Internet Day will be exploring the impact of AI on all of our lives, looking at how AI can be used for good, and giving advice and guidance that empowers people to use AI safely and responsibly. Whilst Safer Internet Day focuses particularly on children and young people, this topic is relevant to all of us!
Our Employability and Digital Skills and Learning for Independence teams will be marking Safer Internet Day all next week by covering relevant themes in their classes – watch out for posts on our LALS Facebook this week.
If you would like to find out more about AI in particular, keep an eye out for more information about our Employability and Digital Skills team’s Introduction to AI courses which will be coming soon.
You can also find lots of free resources on the UK Safer Internet Centre site.
