The first three Connect to Work participants move into employment. 

We’re delighted to celebrate the success of three Connect to Work participants who have recently been offered jobs in a range of exciting roles across the county.

One participant has secured a position with Leicestershire County Council’s Bikeability Project, supporting the delivery of cycle training and helping more people gain the confidence and skills to ride safely.

Another participant has been offered a role with Caterpillar, through recruitment partner Randstad, opening the door to a fantastic opportunity with one of the world’s leading manufacturers.

Our third success story is a participant who has joined a newly opened residential care home, where they will play an important role in supporting residents and helping the service grow.

We’re also pleased to see other participants taking important steps towards employment through work experience opportunities. One individual has recently started a placement with a local funeral directors, gaining valuable insight into the sector and developing new workplace skills. Another participant has begun work experience in the kitchen of a local café, where they are building confidence, learning food preparation techniques and gaining hands-on experience in a busy working environment.

These opportunities highlight the variety of pathways available through Connect to Work and demonstrate that success comes in many forms, whether that’s securing paid employment or taking positive steps towards a future career through work experience.

We would like to congratulate all of these participants on their achievements and wish them every success as they continue their employment journeys. We look forward to supporting them as they develop their skills, build confidence and progress towards their goals.

This is another positive milestone for the Connect to Work programme and a reminder of the difference that personalised employment support can make in helping people access and sustain meaningful employment.
