Leicestershire County Council is one of the best performing councils in the country. In 2019, we were named the most productive council in the country for the third year running. As a learning provider funded by the ESFA (Education Skills Funding Agency) the quality of our teaching is at the forefront of our service priorities. We offer both sessional and fractional Tutor roles, alongside opportunities for Learning Support Assistants and Lead Tutors across the service.
Our Business Support teams are the backbone of our service, providing essential administrative support and customer service at every stage of the learning journey. Within our service we have Administrative Assistants based in centres who are line-managed by HUB Managers who oversee groups of venues.
Our Support Services (also known as ‘the Central Team’) provide traditional ‘head office’ support to teams across the service. This includes: the Digital Learning and Development Team who support learners and staff with learning technologies, the Participation Team who support the marketing and learner engagement needs of the service, Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCo) who support and provide advice to learners with learning needs, Management Information Systems staff who monitor and protect our data, Compliance Officers who ensure our service adheres to relevant rules and regulations, Professional Development leads who work to develop and maintain high standards of teaching and learning, and more!
From supporting learners 1:1 with their reading or writing, to helping Tutors in the classroom, volunteers donate their time to help support the learning of others and are welcome across many areas of our service.
