Brand NEW for 2024/25, our Mandarin Language courses will be launching from September at Enderby Adult Learning Centre! Spoken by roughly 70% of Chinese speakers, Mandarin is the most widely spoken of the Chinese languages and one of the 6 official languages of the United Nations.

This is an eight week course designed for complete beginners to the language. It is the first of a two part course for beginners and will give you a taste of the language you want to learn. You will be introduced to a range of basic phrases that you will be able to use in practical situations. The emphasis will be on having fun and speaking the language through activities and games. The 8 sessions will encourage you and give you the confidence to “have a go”. You will also discover a little about the country/ countries that speak the language and its' people.

More information on Mandarin Beginners - A TasterThis course is for anyone who already has a few of the very basics, covered in the Beginners – A Taster course or through your own experiences. You will be introduced to a range of basic everyday language that can be used in a variety of settings e.g. holiday, social and work. The sessions will cover how to cope in a variety of situations you might find yourself in when visiting a country where they speak your chosen language.
Course Fees: Full Fee £242.00 / Reduced Fee £72.60 / FREE depending on your personal circumstances.
