Join us for a special ‘Winter Warmer’ adult learning roadshow this December in Syston!
We are encouraging Syston residents to join us on Friday 13th December to enjoy some free adult learning activities to get in the mood for Christmas! Teams from across GoLearn, and some of Leicestershire County Council’s wider services, will be available to showcase local services in the area. Syston Community Centre is based on School Street, close to Central Park in Syston. FREE tea, coffee and mince pies will be available, and booking is not necessary. Visit us online to find out more.
Wellbeing Saturdays: Christmas Decorations – Hand Embroidery
This one-day workshop is aimed at anyone interested in learning how to create beautiful pieces of Christmas themed hand embroidery. You will learn how to create your own hand embroidered Christmas decoration. You will learn techniques such as applique, crewelwork embroidery stitches and beading techniques. Christmas Cookie-in-a-Jar with Multiply
This FREE single-session course is for adults and will show you how you can turn a delicious and simple cookie recipe into a fun and thoughtful home-made gift for friend and family. Digital by Design: Christmas Cards
On this FREE 2-hour workshop you will be shown how to create a simple Christmas card to print out and take home with you. This course is FREE for anyone 19+ and will run at Shepshed Library on Thursday 28th November from 2pm till 4pm.
