This course is for learners who have completed the 'Introduction to Pottery' course and/or have some prior experience with clay and want to refine and explore new techniques. During the course you will be encouraged to experiment further with the initial pottery techniques (pinch pottery, coil/slab building and using moulds), maybe work bigger or explore sculptural pottery using a different type of clay.

This is a one-day course, designed to be a fun Christmas themed pottery day for all abilities. Learners will be taught how to create pieces using ceramic techniques such as pinch, slab and coil pottery. This one-day course is aimed at anyone interested in learning about fused glass and how to make their Christmas decorations. You will learn how to cut glass safely to make a variety of shapes. You will also learn how to layer glass and use glass powders, glass rods and metallic inclusions to make your very own Christmas decoration.
