Ballet is an enjoyable way to keep fit, while having lots of fun whether you are a complete beginner, have some experience or are returning to ballet after many years. Taking part in ballet is good for your body as well as your mind. In a friendly, relaxed environment you will learn the foundations of ballet including the positions, alignment, lines, and co-ordination. The classes will include barre work, centre work and travelling work. A group dance will often be learnt during the course.
More informationon Ballet for Wellbeing and Fitness - BeginnersThis course offers you a series of different exercises demonstrated both on a barre, and on the floor (often on a mat) to aid flexibility, balance, improve stability and strengthen the core. Barre fitness can also improve posture and alignment. By the end of the course, you should and will feel better physically and mentally and will feel more conditioned. Intensity can be elevated by adding weights and more challenging movements if you are a more experienced learner.

More informationon Ballet Barre Fitness – SummerHave you ever wanted to tap dance? This course is open to anyone who has always wanted to tap dance. During the course learners will be taught the basics of tap dancing and then learn how to perform them in short amalgamations and choreographed routines, with lots of support from the tutor and from within the group. Steps will be taught in simple, manageable sections with clear practical demonstrations from the tutor. The course will develop skills in different techniques, rhythms, performance and muscle memory. The focus of the course is improving health and wellbeing, as well as learning new skills.
More informationon Introduction to Tap DancingThis course is suitable to anyone who has some tap dancing skills and knowledge. During the course learners will have the opportunity to develop and improve their rhythm and technical tap skills through taught choreographed routines and amalgamations, with support and demonstrations from the tutor. Learners can also try their own tap choreography – either choreographing for themselves or for other learners. The course will include experimenting with different techniques, styles and rhythms, developing performance skills using props and increasing muscle memory. The focus of the course is improving health and wellbeing, as well as developing skills and ability.
