Introduction to Mono Printing

This is a course aimed at the complete beginner and is open to anyone interested in learning how to roll and apply printing ink to make easy monoprints. This course will cover basic techniques of how to make a simple monoprint, at first you will use a handout to understand how to make basic mark making then will progress onto own individual drawings. There will be a range of subject matter to choose from. There will also be a short presentation on other artists’ Mono Printing too.

Wellbeing Saturday - Introduction to Relief Printing

This is a course designed for those with no experience in relief printing but who are interested in learning the basics. It is like lino printing, but cutting into polymer blocks instead. You will be introduced to the basics of the process of relief printing. You will cut into a polymer sheet to remove areas of it and roll ink onto the raised area left behind to then press onto white card to create an image. You will use black ink, A6 polymer sheets, and basic lino cutters.
