This course is for anyone who is interested in learning how to outline, develop and write a novel or writing project. You will explore the various principles of structure, and discover which works best for you and finding your ‘voice’ also known as your writing style.

More information on Introduction to Novel WritingThis course is designed to build upon the knowledge from the Introduction to Novel Writing Course and help individuals make real progress on their novel. This course supports fledgling writers who have a story in mind and have made a start on their story and puzzling as to how they will keep up momentum for the next three hundred pages. It is very common for a writer to go through a slump when the shiny new idea becomes their work in progress.

More information on Develop Your Novel for PublicationThis one-day course is aimed at anyone interested in learning about early cinema history. Together we will watch and talk about silent films; you can also have a go at writing your own film review. We will cover topics such as early film inventions, influential actors and directors, and Hollywood film fandom. There will also be a selection of fascinating historical film objects for you to look at and explore.

More information on Wellbeing Saturdays - Exploring Silent FilmThis one-day course is aimed at anyone interested in learning about the history of the Hollywood film industry. Together we will watch extracts from, and talk about, classic Hollywood films: you can also have a go at writing your own film review. We will cover topics such as how and why we study films, as well as and the significance of film fandom. There will also be a selection of fascinating historical film objects for you to look at and explore.
