This course is for anyone who wants to learn how to sew. You will gain skills in hand stitching and using a sewing machine. You will learn various sewing techniques and work on small projects which gradually increase with your sewing ability and confidence.

Learners will bring a project with them; it could be one they have already started or one they are starting from scratch. The tutor will support learners to complete their project. You’ll be encouraged to make use of existing fabric such as bedlinen or curtaining to reduce the impact on the environment.
