Introduction to Sewing

This course is for anyone who wants to learn how to sew. You will gain skills in hand stitching and using a sewing machine. You will learn various sewing techniques and work on small projects which gradually increase with your sewing ability and confidence.

Sewing Project Workshop

This course aims to introduce learners to sewing or refresh their sewing skills. Learners will bring a project with them; it could be one they have already started or one they are starting from scratch. The tutor will support learners to complete their project. In addition, the tutor will offer smaller projects to make useful wearable items or gifts. This is an ideal opportunity to re-use or repurpose fabrics to reduce waste and develop sustainability.

Reuse Fabric - Make a Pair of Trousers (All Genders)

This course is for budding garment makers. You will be able to make a pair of unisex, casual full length or cropped trousers, or shorts, with an elasticated waist and two types of pocket. You’ll be encouraged to make use of existing fabric such as bedlinen or curtaining to reduce the impact on the environment.
